Back to Real Life We Go!

I go back to work tomorrow and we go back to real life. Kinda sad but exciting at the same time. Sad that my free time and relaxing will be cut drastically. Excited that a new year at school will begin which is always full of surprises. I'm praying that this year is full of opportunities to share God's love. I'm praying that I won't get bogged down with the worries of the day but will focus on my true purpose in being there. God's been showing me alot these days how I must be willing to speak up when needed and to know there's also a time to just be quiet. I pray that I won't let Him down...well atleast not too often.

I'm really not sure who's going to be affected more with my return to school-me or Chuck. I think he's gotten really used to the stress-free wife who's always home. Hopefully, I can get better about leaving school stress at school.

On another note, my recovery is going beautifully. Now, we must wait another 4 weeks to see Dr. Taylor and start the next steps. Patience.

Well, we are loving our church home and are looking forward to serving in the children's ministry. I can't wait!! I've missed it so much. We went to our leadership training today and are ready to begin next week. We love being connected to our church!

May God's purpose always guide us as we go through this crazy life!

Summer Fun!

The girls came to town with my dad about a week after my surgery. They were coming to pick up my mom. I was so sad to see her go home but the girlies helped it to be a little more joyful!

Update

I went to see the doctor this morning and everything looks great! We go back in about a month to start discussing the next steps to having a baby. My instructions were to start normal life again but take it easy because it will take time to get back to feeling normal again. What a relief!! God has been so good to us! How thankful we are for healing and hope! Now we will have to trust fully in His timing and purpose for us. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support!

Summer to Recover!

Well, as many of you know, Chuck and I so wish to have little ones one day. We thought this would be an easy road but oh how wrong we were. After about 6 months of anxiously waiting, I finally went in to see the doctor. She ran some test and found the problem...a fibroid tumor in my uterous. It's about the size of a peach and really in the way of a baby. So off to a specialist we went to have it removed. I went in on Monday and surgery was scheduled for Friday. Surgery was a succes and now I'm resting and recovering. It'll be a couple of months before we start Clomid and hopefully concieve a precious gift from God. Yeah, we are still going to need a little more help to have a wee one. I know that God is the one who will ultimately be glorified with a child or without. Our love for Him will guide us through each step of this road as it has through all the rest!

Happy 4th of July!

What a blessing it is to live in a country where we are truly free! Thank you to all the men and women who serve our country and keep freedom alive!

My parents came to visit us for the 4th of July weekend. It was so wonderful to have them here! We grilled, went to the Rangers game and watched fireworks!

What more could we ask for!

San Antonio Vacation

We went to San Antonio for our anniversary this year. We had a blast visiting the Alamo, riverwalk, the Mercado and Sea World. We went to San Antonio for our honeymoon a year ago. Being there again was a precious reminder of how deep our love has grown over this past year. We spent so much time talking about how amazed we have been by God's grace and provision for us this year. God has taught us so much about true love!

Our Very First Blog!!

Well, Chuck and I decided to begin blogging about the wonderful life God has given us together. We have shared a wonderful first year of marriage and are so looking forward to what God has in store for us in the future. So here's the beginning of year 2 of our life as one. We've had many highlights this year-marriage, buying a home, putting all our pets in one home, making some amazing friends, finding a church home and truly enjoying life together.
